I suppose it depends on where you were staying in edinburgh. theres a lot of shitty flats with dodgy pipes, or a crap supply which will produce a rather pish glass of water. i think the water in edinburgh tastes fantastic, and being naturally "soft", works up a good lather with soap.
i know a guy who drinks 30 litres of it a day. he has a p900 times a week.

I stayed half the week in a Travel Lodge just round the corner from the Royal Mile and 6 miles out of EndinB in Currie in student accom, cups of tea in both places were just as gash, no matter who made them. Though i didnt try the coffee?!?

And all the scots seemed to be a tad 'vertically challenged' i must say.

I'd mention their hair colour, but thats another thread completely...

Vertically challenged? Not sure about that one, most people I know are of average stature. Actually I read somewhere that men from the west country in England are statisticaly the shortest in Britain.
The water issue is quite simple. The water supply in the cities now has a lot of crap added to it for 'health' reasons. The water supply in the Highlands and more rural areas seems to be a lot better, though here in Glasgow I can't say I have any complaints. At the very least we don't get charged for our water here.
Hair colouring is similar to Ireland, as is the water issue, as is the hieght issue, as is the drinking issue (which is another thread entirely ...)

Well i'm 6"2' and stood head and shoulders clear of everybody.
It was funny walking down Princes Street and seeing the top of everyones head.

But maybe i'm just big (yet another thread...)

We have loads of chemicals added to our water in Stoke and it tastes great, and not too hard without being soft, grand cuppa

I've tasted English water and its allright, but I prefer Scottish water myself and that's not just me being anti-english, I really do prefer Scottish water.

well kitp800, it seems obvious, that as youre a typically arrogant, anti-scottish pompous englishman, all the cups of water and tea which were served to you in scotland were either spat or peed in. height and hair colour is statistically similar to other parts of the uk. may i point out that the reason you stood head and shoulders above everyone is because you are a tall person. and as a matter of happenstance, the most intelligent city in britain, statistically, is edinburgh.
