No they are two different type of screens that use different power. The t630 screen use more power then t610's screen, and it is the firmware that is stearing the power thing so you could burn the t610's screen if you put a t630 firmware on it.

If you choose contacts it takes you directly to the contacts list whereas if you choose phone number you can enter a phone number directly. However, in the phone number screen you can also click look up which then takes you to the same contacts screen that you could have gone to had you sleected contacts in the first place

Got mine done today (R4C) and about time too i think
They put 2 new domes in
and put a new joystick in it as i was having problems with the old one,the domes are something under the keypads or something.
@Cytech,can you give me any more details on the domes,possibly why they did this,cheers
EDIT; Shit,i just noticed (now its going dark) the keypad buttons dont light up anymore

how are they named? is it the number after the "R" or the second letter ("B")?
btw about the t630 firmware, i doubt it would cause any physical damage to the t610 screen, it just won't work properly (but would still work with the t610). things don't have to have an exact power rating to function properly, and sometimes slight differnces don't do any damage (maybe heat it up a bit).
i think the main reason people haven't put t630 screens in the t610 is becuase A: noone has yet broken a t630 and so there are no spares, and B: the firmware for the t630 isn't readily available so people have to have a t630 to get the firmware, and if they have one they won't want to put a t610 screen in it and convert it to a t610.
just my thoughts.
