it means how many simultaneous sounds/voices/instruments can be going on at the same time (74). 74 is very high quality polyphonic ringtones

yeah i think ur rite! the k700 - all networks and nearly just as good. ok no twin cam and mem stick duo but for some that don't matter. but for me i have a 128mb duo which i wanna use and the z1010 or s700 are good because they are compatible. But the z1010 is canny old news and the s700 is gonna be dead expensive! i think im gonna stick with my p800 and buy a new computer and then maybe get a website deal then buy either!

i got 128mb duos which i use with my cybershots don't really care for them in phones its a bonus but i don't really need if for my lifestyle,
if i wanted to listen too music on the move i'd get an ipod, i will most likely leave the z1010 and get the k700 as my z600 is starting to bore me as for the s700 dunno about that i will wait till its out before i even think about wanting it

Is it worth getting a Z1010 if Im not going to use 3g,
will it be more expensive than the S700?

Nope, Only get the Z1010 if you are on a 3G network, get a K700 if you arent using 3G.
They are very similar phones

@ Jaymofish
Thats a massive change mate! Ive got the e606 as a loan phone and its so slow. Compared to the A835/A925/7600 software. I hope the Z1010 will be stable but quick as a standard GSM phone.

Trust me mate, e808 is much worse than the e606

. Only thing it holds over it is battery life, heh.
The keyboard is useless due to the fact that it takes 2 minutes to get to the darn SMS screen.
