I have become rather bored of late as I have a lot of free time. I spend most days strolling around the metrop shopping or lunching; sometimes I will go to my club and take a paper. To alleviate my boredom I have decided that I should perhaps get a job; I hear that one can work part-time and that would be ideal as I do have uni work to be getting on with too.

Having done some research on the matter I have seen two jobs that look jolly good fun:

The first is at CPW and I thought that it would be marvellous fun to be able to play with mobile phones all day.

The second is at a supermarket. There doesn't seem much to this caper, I just stand at the front door with a microphone and announce things. An added bonus is that I would get to wear a rather large badge.

Which one do you chaps think I should go for? If anyone has any advice on how one goes about this sort of thing then it would be very much appreciated.

God i can imagine your announcements...

"Hellerr, how are we on this fine day? Well, i have had a sheet of a4 thrust before my nose, and upon said sheet, written in what appears to be foolscap, is a list. Well, im jolly excited, its my first jaunt into this, so here we bally well go. Asda is - oh, thats not terribly exciting, hold on. Terence, have you any correction fluid and a biro? Splendid. Okay, chaps! Asda is thrilled to announce that we have discomnumbulated 4 pence - thats 7% - from cauliflower! Have a pleasant day, and grow your own vegetables to help aid the war effort. 3 Hurrahs for the allies! Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!

@miss uk

I'm not awfully sure how much I would be paid. I'm not really too bothered about the money, not that I would refuse it of course, but it is really more to give me something to do.

@meths

Very droll. I actually like the sound of the supermarket job, I think it would be great fun to make the announcements. I get a big badge with my name on it; a walkie talkie and a body warmer.

@miss uk

What is the minimum wage? I wouldn't work for nothing, but money isn't everything. Is a fiver an hour good for what you do?

It's a bit O/T but I know a woman who has a real thing for men in supermarket uniform. She's really nice and taken (bloke works in Tesco's). This message was posted from a T68i

Pay isnt the important thing, its about how happy you are. I left a well paid job for my current, lower status and pay job, simply because i wadnt happy. Im happier now, for me money desnt come into it as long as i have enough to pay my bills and have a little extra for going out or whatever, i dont need loads.
