well it's no use dude... it just wont work... we have to play a lil smarter now...ne ways will help ya set it up

setup a new dial up connection
dial up nos: *99***1#
address : 10.10.1.100
port: 9401
leave the password n user name fields blank.
u will have to configure ur phone modem first....
u can either use a bluetooth...or a usb cable supplied wit ya phone or via infrared.

As the starter of this thread .. Id like to throw my 2 cents in.. Yes the 99Rs package can be used to connect to Internet using PC it is unreliable and miserably slow (
I moved to Airtel Mobile office 600 Rs package recently and the speed is comparable to that of a dial up. There is no down time and you can use it on roaming as well with absolutely no extra charge.. Lemme tell you a secret . i pay only 99 Rs for this Mobile office package now bcos now Airtel has a Corporate offer for my company.

So guys this Internet on PC using GPRS is very much possible but dont expect any thing more than 7-8 K speed on your non EDGE GSM device.

Yes, hutch got smarter now!
U cant access any URL through internet explorer (gives FORBIDDEN error), neither can u use yahoo messenger anyway!
Hutch has gone smart!

But i am even smarter, i`m still using it for surfing! & ,messenger, hahahaha, nobody can stop me.

Ok let me tell you that hutch Rs 99 GPRS doesnt work in delhi now, It gives error like "You are not authorised to view this page" the forbidden page. I dont know about other cities
Neither does yahoo messenger works!

Still i manage to use it , the sites open normally for me as they used to do earlier!

Only by popularising trick, i would encourage hutch to disable this method also!
