Hey Gbrooks...I was just wondering when you think that the official version of Z800 firmware will be released? Also is the T28 service cable the same as the unlock cable? I purchased one while unlocking my P900...Thanks

That cable should work ok, but you can test it before purchasing any credits.
Well the firmware is Official, it comes straight from SEMC. However retail firmware will be released when the Z800 is released.

I tried to use GBrooks script to sort the naming on my V800 but have only managed to get several error messages relating to unrecognised phone etc. Selected the script in SETools2 then hit the load files button. I assume i am doing something wrong or missing something. Can anyone help ?

it's not running on a 3g network yet (although we were the first place in europe to have 3g they turned it off after testing) but we have full gsm/gprs networks.

whats the major diffrence with v802 vs the z8's?
from what i've read thru, main diffrence is that the firmware will remove all voda style icons to orginal SE's?
how about the live button? what happens to it?
if the live button is removed, whats it gona be assigned to?
Am really considering should i jump to the z8's frimware? or should i wait?
what about the popping sound from the speakers?

If you wait a little bit, you'll get a 'z800' firmware without 'clipping sounds'
All voda icons are replaced by nice se ones.
Voda live shurtcut is replaced by 'Other' menu like in other se models
