Hmm, so I get to the 02 shop at lunchtime, and am advised because I'm just into my 11th month, my upgrade eligibility won't appear on the in-shop system. So I advise the guy in the shop to contact 02 and get verification from them to go ahead. So he does that, but still can't use his local system to process the order. No problem, he can get the 02 customer services guy to do it. No luck with that either, apparently their system is down and can't process any orders. On top of that, I'm informed I have to pay the full upgrade price of £99 becuase you can't change tariff (i.e. move to Anytime 200) in order to get the phone for £50 until after your 12th month apparently...

What a carry on. Anyway, I'm going back down after work and hopefully will get it sorted then. Of course I could wait a month, but I want it now!

Ref. O2 in Germany and the K750i release...I asked them a few weeks back and I was told "...the end of May". Their current leaflet for phones is valid up until May 31st (see bottom left-hand corner of cover) so I am hoping it will be in their next magazine.

I have no idea what price it will be though.

Just off the phone to O2 Online - I tried to upgrade to the k750i, but the lady on the line said that although the k750i was availiable from the o2 online web site to first time buyers, it will not be availiable for an upgrade for up to three weeks. She did not have a concrete time when it would be, she was going on how long previous new relaseses took to be availiable for upgrade...

Im gonna be phoning back every couple of days because who knows exactle when it will be available. Not good news for us o2 onlone upgraders...

If we have to pay £49.99 anyway, regardless if we are upgrading, why don't we act as though we are new customers and then we'd get one?

Out of curiosity, I have just been to my local O2 shop and they had it in stock and was willing to upgrade me there and then.

I was reading the catalogue from the o2 shop on saturdaY on my way to see revenge of the sith, and it says the payg price for a k700i would be £250, has it changed now or is it just 299 at the moment cos it isnt officially payg handset yet

@ pleber

Hi,

Im with o2 online also. Gave their upgrades line a call there and got the same story as yourself... 3-4 weeks. I asked what other ways there were about this- i.e. disconnecting and re-signing (this will probably take time anyway), and the person on the phone gave me the disconnections number (0870 600 7102, option 2 then option 4). He said they might have a way of bypassing the system to allow a K750 upgrade instead of disconnection. I haven't tried them yet- will do that tomorrow, but thought Id post anyway to let you all have a go. I dont know how far they would have to be pushed, and I dont know if I can be bothered with the hassle. Let me know how you get on.

Liam
