I think the 2/3 sensor would have raised the price of Honami with about +100$ and sony choose 1/2.3 sensor to maintain the price tag at 800 $. +900 $ would be too much even for a sony flagship.

I also think that sony could not implement cyber-shot algorithm on honami (1/2.3 sensor) becouse porting this algorithm to android is very difficult. I think they use a tweaked version of same sonyericsson algorithm present first time on xperia arc. This is a bad move from my perspective.

For everyone to be happy I consider than sony should use 1/2.3 sensor with "VERY GOOD LENS MECANISM", all lens from sharp glass if possible and very good image processing algorithm.

ALso why sony spent many on advertising and marketing when those money could be used to make possible what I said above. I'm not a troll ore an idiot who hates sony (whatever others reply me on this topic). I just saw things from a neutral point of view not from a sony insane and blind lover.

I will bookmark this post and I will post here after sony I1 or honamy is officialy anounced.

- 1/2.3 tweaked sony Exmor R sensor ( 90% similar with in DSC-HX50V sensor).
- price tag at 800 $ free of contract.
- same or tweaked image processing algorithm ( I personaly named this algorithm "sonyericsson xperia arc algorithm". An updated version of same algorithm is present on xpera Z also). If sony engineers will work hard I think they could implement cyber-shot algorithm before honamy goes official but I'm not 100% about that because hardware is different from sony compact cameras.
- I don't think will have xenon flash
That's all my conjectures here

P.S sony will make +20.000.000$ cash this year and in 2014 only from 13 MP camera modules who will sell to chinese manufacures.
90% phones will have a sony camera module ). One 13 MP sony camera module cost between 15-20$ depending on lens or other filters. GS4 for examplle have a special de'noise filter with sensor.. Xperia Z don't have such thing.

@koss
Sony makes way more than $20million fro their smartphone camera sensors. Their contact for GS4 only probably worth more than 1billion. but next year will be a different story because until now it was just Sony making 13mp sensors but recently Toshiba and Samsung have formed a JV to produce high quality 13mp cameras
