in fact sony lcd hdr should stay on screen. oled does not make much sense. I think the xperia xz1 screen is excellent. samsung model will make a soulless, just lower the upper parts are enough. I apologize for my bad ingilizce

OLED has its advantages but for me the XZ Premium LCD is the highest quality screen. I like Note 8 of course but 4K vs 2K, there is no contest. Samsungs can be adjusted if you don't like the fake vibrancy but a lot of people actually like that so let them be. Things like burn in are ultimatley down to quality of the panel, I've never heard any Samsung user complain about burn in while you see the Pixel 2 has a load of deficiencies. I have never seen anything that shows that OLED saves battery vs LCD in real world tests and it makes you wonder why people aren't able to squeeze much more out.
On a side note, I think the UI needs an overhaul because I find Oreo so inconsistent. I couldn't get a full black UI using Substratum so I now have a full white one which I'll accept because all my apps are similar. I hope an OLED Xperia would have a true black UI and I'd like some redesigning of menus etc. as some of the Substratum themes have little subtle changes that make the UI look so nice. Either make a change or allow for themers to change as much as possible.

Well it's not the best example since it's old but my Note 4 had serious screen burn in on the lower part. And as you mentioned the battery saving is mostly on papers.no real life usage senario uses half black screen with only small part of it turned on.since most web pages are white the only saving is seen on video tests.

Just saw somewhere faithful that show specs of many phones.
It says S9 screen is 4096x 2160.
If it is true that would be first 4K oled.
Last year when this website posted specs of XZ1c , all was right except android 7.1.2
