ok thanks!
another thing - i notice that my screen when I change my background to black, i can see that it's not fully black. There's a slight patch of brown around the area near the LEDs.... was wondering if this is normal because of the lighting or is it because of my screen? When I use other colours, they appear fine.
The keypad i notice is bright but the colour on the 1-* column and 2-0 column isn't exactly blue.... it's abit greenish blue.... is this normal?
is R2E fast?
ok that;s all. Hopefully someone can help me out here. I don't want to make a trip down to singapore for nothing =)

i have not tried R2F .. so i cant tell you .. the keypad lighting is due to the insufficient LED in the hp .. they use 4 LED to power all the keypad .. normally the other hp like nokia they have 6 LED to power their keypad ..

ok thanks
no i mean R2E, is it faster than R2B?
so orang, do you mean that the lighting on my keypad is normal? it seems fine, only noticed it after looking at it for a long time.
I read on this thread about the bulbs of the LCD going off and all.... but the case was a black patch.... I'm having a brown patch (it's the best word i can use... it's not exactly a patch u see...) when i use a black background not black. So is it normal? I dun see any discolouration or any black patches when I'm using other colours.

yup
i just called them up today coz i wanted to find out if i can do an upgrade here instead of going all the way down to singapore. I just got my phone about a week ago from the DBS Cashline promo. So if I upgrde my sw it will be for free right? coz it's still under warranty?
so anyone can help me with the screen thing? I'm quite a fussy person when it comes to my gadgets so i wanna know if my phone is faulty... but if it's a normal thing then i won't have to go down to singapore so fast.
one more thing to note is that the brown colour changes places a little when i change the angle of my phone.... but it's more to the left bottom corner
ok thanks!

uhm... can someone help me with my problem? The screen thingie? Let's say I switch on or off my phone, the screen is black at first before the colours kick in right? So the blank black screen has abit of brown at the bottom.... is it because of the light?
and is R2E faster than R2B and more stable? Does upgrading my phone sw wipe out everything?
Please advise... Thanks!

gilthoniel-> I would said ocassionally I will get some small color patches on the surface of my phone. Just some kind of a color image. But do not appear at one place. And it only happened once in a while, and perhaps is due to looking into different angle, so I don't bother about it. But switching off and get brown patches, it never happened on my phone. Since you have this problem and you phone is still under warranty, why don't you send it down to your SC. Make full use of your warranty. It maybe your LCD or bulb problem. Without checking it is hard to confirm. It is also hard for us to diagnose it by listening to your description and able to tell you straight away what is at fault though we are willing to help you.
