Once you saw that Xperia T will be upgraded and Xperia V won't, it's instantly fake.

I don't think the Lens has its own ISP for JPEG processing, so it may use the Smartphone to do the pixel crunching instead. but this could be a blessing in disguise for Sony especially Honami, since it will come with BIONZ and a new JPEG engine that should do the work, and less components on the lens would reduce its overall cost and at the same time establish a lead among potential compatible phones from their competitors; phones like HTC One and Galaxy S4 may possibly be able to control the lens, but their own JPEG engine will not be optimized for this. so people will have to get Honami to be able to use the lens' true potential.
+1Bazillion
This si excactly what I was thinking!:) I even tried to say something luke this but I do not have the tight vocabolary:P
This cuole permit Sony to lower the costs of the new accessorie and at the same time to gain edge over his enemies! I don't know how you say it in English but in Italian it's "due piccioni con una fava"!:)
I really hope that this will be their strategy! Also the new ONE SONY line will, probably, always have BIONZ on board! Si it will be usable with future flagships:) PERFECT!

Any idea yet what the materials used for the Honami will be?
STOP please... you really are a pain in the ass... for what we know is Aluminium Frame (similar to SP) and glass front and back...! this is all we know!
Thanks being the first to finally answer my question. A couple of pages of this thread could have been saved if someone had chosen to just answer it there and then, rather than coming up with some snide response.
Guys, looking at the way nightwing reply it doesn't seem that he is that dumb at all. Forum members has been telling him many times to use the search functio but he's still consistently doing there stuffs.
Let me guess... He's from Team Sony!!!! He wants to make this forum richer and more popular!!!
P. S. are you Kazuo Hirai himself? Reveal your identity!!! And welcome to team Sony
Yes, I am Kazuo Hirai. We need to integrate a 'One Sony' culture here.

It would be really hard to have the image processing done on the phone if the only connection is NFC.
And that list of updates better be fake. No update for SP, now that's a little crazy.

@mustafabay
Read the article:
"This list is not the official release by Sony and it's just our estimation so Sony might or might not release the above given update."
And this should end the discussion about 4.3 updates until we get some news from Sony.

A standalone lens accessory with a built in sensor that wirelessly transmits the results directly back to a handset would be pretty awesome. It'd make it so much easier to get the 'perfect shot'.
Imagine the unsuspecting panchira shots, "it's only a lens how I could possibly be having filming?", turn around, touch, touch, uploaded
In that update schedule Xperia T is listed twice

Doesn't make any sense, and the code difference for porting T to TX is not much more than a dozen lines, it makes no sense to NOT port to TX and risk upsetting users (like me).

this is not going to be possible... you cant transfer full size raw image that fast over bluetooth or miracast, whatever this is going to be using, it is not going to be fast enough.
it will not have controls, evf/screen, flash (?), but the rest it will have to have.
