mite see if i can persuade the mrs that i need a new one, found a good site last nite that seems quite cheap, she's just bought a brand new Alpine unit so mite go for 1 of those

edit: the Los Angeles MP72 looks a good'un actually and only £229.99, but from reading the spec i'm not sure if it'll read MP3s off a cd, or only off a MMC, any idea Mark?
