Isn't the yellow dot issue solved with handsets later as week9. I heard it was because of the glue the used.

NO it is not solved. My phone is from week 12 and has the yellow tint issue. Some people with week 14 phones have reported no yellow tint but others had it even on week 14 phones.

Wohooo, I finally got my hands on my Xperia S last night! I'm thoroughly satisfied, to be honest.

Just two small issues. I seem to have that yellow spot issue at the bottom of the display but it's very faint and barely noticeable.

Secondly, the phone seems to heat up near the top after several minutes of use. I don't know whether this is normal...

Out of interest did you get a European adaptor?

As for the yellow tint issue, when I turned brightness on full on a while picture I maybe see a bit of yellowing but I don't know if I'm seeing things, apparently it gets worse when the device heats up, so maybe do some tests and see if it gets worse. I would have hoped Sony would have given us some kind of documentation for the warranty etc. But can't complain, I looooooove this phone

Sony have apparently said this is a small number of units. But to me seems more widespread

HTC always say the same when there is an issue with their phones. But then you hear everyone moaning about the same thing.

Yes mate your eyes are OK.
It gets worse when the device or rather the screen is hot, and disappears when it's cool.
It got a little worse in time in my case. I have the device for some time now.
One of the first here.

Apparently I broke my headset which came with X S and just bought really nice in ear Sennheisers and man,
the audio quality is amazing. I mean those headphones are stunning but also the quality of the sound is great.
Sennheiser CX 215, I recommend them, top notch.

Besides the screen the phone is brilliant. Almost no weak spots.
I got only one freeze, with YouTube. It's a known case though, I'm not sure it's a device or the app itself.
