XZ has been officially released for a while in China. The common view is that the screen is inferior to XT. Many users mentioned that XT screen was the best till now.

It is sad that Sony keeps using grade B displays in the flagship phones.

Well Dacha, I understand but this is the first time a Sony flagship has a truly "bad" screen. Xperia S, Ion, TX, T, V all had very good screens, only viewing angles were not perfect but on angle they were amazing.
Sony could have used LG 5 inch 1080p panels at least

So far....there are 2 type of screen in the market... =.=
The one has good screen and the others got bad one.....
Sony should fire all the guys at the Quality Control Department .....
Edit: the same thing happened with the TX.... the first batch had ****ty screen and the later batch use the good one =.=

Shall we expect the following batchs using good screens?

I am afraid it will be the same issues as it was with the Xperia S. Some phones had great screens and other had yellow spots like my XS. I ignored the issues for a long time but now I have a permanent yellow spot on the display even when the phone is not hot.
I sure hope that the ZL will have a different display. The Ion had an excellent display and so did the TL on AT&T.
Z to be released on
KDDI as part of the summer collection with slight modification. The slight modification could be S600 or even S800

Since Qualcomm is ready to discontinue the S4 Pro and start the S600 production
They chance that "Slightly" change will be the S600 is really high

@ DACHA: What is the cause of the issue? Is Sony aware of the problem before the shippment? Since the problem has occured with XS, Sony should have learned to prevent such things happening again.
I will still get XZ despite of the screen isuue because I cannot wait that longer to the summer time. In the 2nd half, I hope to see a perfect device from Sony.

So to clarify, the Z does not ship with that screen calibration app? If it does have it, does it affect the screen issuse at all?
