Speaker much better than Z. Huge difference. Might be second best on the market after HTC One. Alot louder. I have to say, I've got a non-final product with old fw. Also unfortunately I have to give it back already tomorrow since the owner have to go to Japan on tuesday.
That's great!
The only thing that stopped me from getting the original Z was its weak speaker.
Z1 seems to be the best for me
(And yeah I'm the only one who cares about the speaker on a smartphone

)
Anyways thanks aurelius

dexter is one of those guys who walks down the block with his phone on his shoulder like a boombox circa 1980s!
i care about smartphone speakers too.. but only that they are LOUD.. not so much on how great they sound. As long as I can understand speech for the ocasional video here and there. that's all that matters. I just need to hear my ringtones/alerts mostly

I just care about loudness, too.
As long as it doesn't distort at max volume.

already posted earlier and quite frankly I'll give the same reply as I did to the one before - I have no idea what that guy is trying to achieve in his video - who on earth is ever going to look at a phone screen at that angle - the whole thing is pointless, if the two screens are equal up to 60deg then what else is there ????

Both are equally loud but HTC one is better.

i used to think that way but wouldn't it be better to have a great display that looks like the images are painted on your screen? it really made me envious how other displays look better without the color and contrast shifting when viewed from different angles. of course, this is just a matter of preference but you know, sony charges premium prices so i think giving us a cheap-looking display comparable to those chinese counterfeits is a little disheartening. i still don't understand why they prefer those panels over IPS or other displays that appear superior. if only sony could provide us advantages like lower power consumption, longevity, or better outdoor legibility.
and i really hope nobody comes here saying the stupid argument that smaller viewing angles are intended for privacy. of course not. you can still read texts or have an idea of the image being shown on a display when viewing it from an angle with all the reduced contrast and shifting colors.
this one's already been posted, too.

Natural colours over unnatural angles, so the Xperia Z1 wins hands down.
Pentile will always fail to impress on me with its blueish hue.
HTC One wins though.

@ Shotokan81
I didnt know I made a spelling error until you made the comments yesterday. You are right, it should be miruku & gyunyu.
My 2 cats have the above names so I adopted it as my username here.
@ moogoo
I'll check if your name means mushroom in cantonese. But I dont think so.
