thfcpoole thats what i got, but now whenever i try access the camera, it just wont allow me to do so, it takes me back into the main menu, and then restarts, so taking mines back today, hopefully the new one will be much better.

how scratch resistant is the screen
i put a screen protector on it today and it makes it look pants
i am thinking of just letting it go 'bare' and hopefully it stands the test of time

Buy a case for your phone then.
Either try a Krussel case, or a full body case that'll cover the phone completely, and only take it out to use it.

I've never liked Krussel cases either.
I use a John Thursday Crumpler pouch. It kept my K700i perfect for the best part of a year, and now im using it for my K750i.
Sure, you have to take the phone out of the case to use it everytime, but better that than having it encased in some ugly leather and pvc combination IMO.
