@GUCCI I dont use Opera Mini 4.I change fonts on my phone quite regulary and Opera Mini 4 doesnt like it.Everytime I load it, it tells me Opera Mini is inspecting my font. This might take a few minutes. And that is exactly what it does.Takes a few minutes. So I've just gone back to OM3.Also I found it much slower.

@ Hobbs

Neither have I really, particularly as I haven't been using the phones that heavily lately, applications-wise.

@ Gucci,
Sorry boet, about what i got for the b-day, the P1i was an early birthday pressie, plus a few bits that we got at the bike show yesterday.

Speaking of whch, here comes the first P1i pics from the show.
I must say that the phone took either really good or really crap pics, no real halfway as such. I think the N73 was more consistent in this regard. The P1i seems more prone to suffer from slight movement, even though I try keep a steady hand when taking the pics. This wasn't helped when taking pics of some of the bikes on rotating/carousel bike exhibits...
I need to experiment more with the settings, too.
I've included some of the good pics, which IMHO are easily a match (or better) to what the N73 could produce, as well as a few where I feel the N73 would've kicked P1i cam butt. Having said that, it's only a generalised synopsis, not a fair test as I obviously don't have both phones at the same time to try out in the same conditions etc.

Very good macro shot ability:

Loooook intooo myyy eyessss, Wanqaaaa... LOL, Buell's new 1125R sports bike:

Wonder what the 2 Honda employees are scheming re The Wanqing One as he takes a close-up pic of Honda's new streetfighter-styled CB1000R...

Those 3 okes had better be checking out the 2008 Suzuki GSX-R750's rear end and not the better half's, or I'll be smiting them on their ageing pates with a knopkierie, LOL:

More P1i pics later...

Hope some of you made use of the special Jet Stores/MTN were running this weekend with a handful of phones, including the HTC OxYGN, going for as little as R99 including starterpack on condition of purchases at the store of over R400.
@Rhino: Got back from Bloem in one piece...honestly, I'll stick to the CT city centre, the place was a bore...at least I discovered a Chinese restaurant that served a good portion of noodles at half the price I'd expect to pay.
What do you think of the recently opened Loch Logan Mall? I thought I'd slip on those floors- a personal injury lawyer's wet dream. Overall, it will take a lot of cash money to make me relocate to the Free State.

Andre Nel, jou doring! Eish, my nerves... What a tense ending to the first ODI in Durbs.

In other news, Mobilefun here have dropped the price of the T650i to £229.95 (approx R3200). Still holding its value well ; that's about the same price as what CPW ask for a Samsung G600+accessory pack, which includes one of those tiny WEP Samsung Bluetooth headsets, as well as a 1 Gig card thrown in etc.
