So I guess it's pretty much confirmed that XZ4 won't come before summer. I guess it's standard Sony behaviour with phones shown at MWC.
Sony Mobile management is so miserable.

The big deal is that other OEMs will start selling their flagships few weeks after MWC and Sony will start 3-4 months after MWC. If that is not big deal for Sony themselves then okay, should not be a big deal for their customers either.
Their R&D is weird. Every MWC it feels that they had not enough time for proper developing and testing of the devices and like they just show demo units during MWC and then they use additional 3-4 months for finishing up the product and make it production ready, most recent example was XZ2P... (unlike other OEMs which already have millions of phones ready to be started selling just after the MWC)
That's really retarded, probably because they release 2 flagships per year... Classic waste of R&D. They should focus on 1 flagship (3 variants - classic, compact and premium) per year and spend proper time on developing devices.

Every mwc of Sony is like,
Here's our high end device with mild improvements and you can get it for the competition's higher end device but sooner.
And here is our top end device that can compete with that device from other manufacturer but you have to wait 2-3 months for it. And it will be at full price while others get their first price cuts.
They are killing their own sales by making people wait for the better device and simply by not being there with others to be an actual alternative.
The leaked xz4 seems like s10's competition. 5g or not. In summer Huawei will also launch the new p devices and 5g foldables. Once again sony will seem to stay behind if that happens.
But still if they can deliver a truly great device it may have a chance.
