That is one reason why I did not register with NowMMS. SPAM is bad enough to receive, but when you have to pay to pick up junk (10KB = RM 0.05 on DiGi or 10KB = RM 0.40 on Maxis) that can be a real pain affair.
Worst for Maxis users I might add.

Don't think this way. Nothing comes free and it seems not that bad off using Now MMS. If you wait till the local telcos to provide such services, it will be worst off especially for Maxis.. damn expensive per MMS. Besides, hardly you will receive ads on SMS or MMS from Now MMS so far for me... . Let's just say, it is an alternatives while the real service be offer in Malaysia.

you can choose to set autodownload to 'confirm' that way the phone asks you weteher to download the entire mms or the header only...

Of course. But the service was not by MAXIS. It was a 3rd party that uses the MAXIS gateway.
