The problem with this site nowadays is that new people keep coming here and have no idea of what the old Esato forum was like. back in the days (circa 2007) people just appreciate whatever infos the community sources can share, and we old users never blame anyone for the misses and mistakes as exaggerated as it may look like. but now look at how utterly disgusting this thread have become, senseless blaming and trolling just for misinformation?
my goodness. some people needs to get a life, Everyone here knows how much I hated GSMArena/PA for years for their record breaking amount of trashtalks and trolls at the comment section on both the blog and the user opinion, but now I'm starting to feel the same for this site despite the fact that I've always loved this place for having the most intelligent people. it's sad to see that this is becoming similar to those two.

Anyone else find it odd that the new flagship seems to have two seperate internal names - Honami and i1? According to zomg he doesn't believe i1 will be the final name. Have any other phones ever had two seperate internal names? Are we 100% certain that Honami = i1?

I don't know if it's a Honami but I can confirm plus chop it's a C690X.

I1 is definitely Honami. It's like L4 = Togari = Xperia Z Ultra
There are many other ones. The lettering is used for manufacturing reference, while the codename is for Sony's internal reference.

lol, for a minute there I thought I starting to form conspiracy theories in my head about multiple flagship level phones
So, if that phone is indeed Honami then there're a couple things we can extrapolate. The external lens will require some sort of mounting adapter as it's not going to stick to the glass back on its own. I wonder if they'll have a one size fits all adapter for all phones, or each popular phone will have its own adapter.
It does not appear there is a magnetic charging connector on that phone. When you look at pics of the Z Ultra you can pretty clearly see the little indentation where the charging connector is, but I can't make out anything like that in these pics. Maybe we just don't have a good enough angle? I dunno. There's something on the side at the top, but I'd be willing to guess that is a port flap rather than a magnetic charging connector.
Really hoping the magnetic charging connector is in as well as the IR blaster. It wouldn't make much sense to me to leave it out of Honami as we know it can be put on waterproof devices (Tab Z). Also hopeful we see the unique screen tech used on the Z Ultra for stylus input on Honami. I want to be able to use my keys as a stylus whenever I want!

Ive made friends with some really wonderful people from here but the behaviour of a lot of members here is not something I appreciate, almost as if they have a personal grudge against me for some reason.

All I have to say is this:
No matter guys how much you anticipate or beg for info, you won't get the device earlier in your hands from the date is already planned for.
Maybe it is better to step away from these kind of threads. When the announcement comes, let it come and let sony suprises us.
