This thread has become platform in which people in-the-know can brag whose sources are correct. I must agree with razec, before when someone spilled the beans everyone was just happy and anticipaded the release of the product. Now endless bickering is all we get.

I hope you are being sarcastic. Sony is a publicly traded company and therefore has to answer to their shareholders and so Sony's loss is a shareholder's loss and losing money usually upsets shareholders, especially if it has occurred for the past few quarters or years.
So no Sony doesn't only make phones for fans, they make phones for consumers, and some of those happen to be hardcore fans like myself, with some not always satisfied 100% or even at all.
Sony's highest priority now is not to maintain their fan base, their
main priority is to cut financial losses and any spending that is not necessary at this moment. This requires heavy restructuring at Sony's divisions, so selling divisions or integrating smaller divisions within a larger division.
As for the leaked new photos, yes the bezel is large, and perhaps the camera isn't the super duper giga pixel one some folks expected but as current tech stands, if you want a thin phone and incredible camera with a large sensor, don't expect a super thin device, current tech doesn't allow this. Perhaps somewhere down the line in the future, some new technology will allow this but until then, I'm more than happy to carry around a cellphone and my NEX, because no matter what Sony does to the camera lens or sensor or imaging processor on a cell phone sub 10mm, it won't come nowhere near the quality of a APC-S sensor.
And if it looks like a rehashed Z, so be it, the Z looks amazing, and I am more than thrilled Sony has kept a similar design, continuity with slight evolution is a good thing, because changing the design every year creates confusion and doesn't build brand image.
As for comparison between this and the S4, any winner is a personal opinion, both phones have strong points, of course the Sony has an upper hand due to the fact it is coming out almost 6-8 months later and has newer tech but I will say the screen on the S4 is gorgeous and that's about it. Samsung is definitely worried with the crop of new phones, I will presume mainly the new Iphone, but no doubt the Sony with the S800 and 3000mAh battery will be no pushover, this explains why S4's with S800 cpus have been testing, partly might be also to do with built in LTE radio.
I'm definitely looking forward to the Honami, especially with it's dedicated camera button and larger battery
If the headphone jack is open like on the Z ultra, which it should be, then I might have found my new phone to replace my S2.

The only type of phone maker who truly make phones for their fanbase is a company like Vertu who
CAN AFFORD to make a loss on high end components thanks to their billionaire owners.
Sony like every other phone maker are trying hard to get as much market share and profit as possible at as lower cost to them as possible.

I don't know why people are getting upset when some rumours don't become the specifications that are expected.
Anything in this thread is pure speculation and rumour until the devices are announced, no matter which
XR rating it is.

No one is able to provide 100% accurate info. before it is launched offcially. Even after new device is launched, there are some wrong info. on the SM website sometimes.
This thread is entitled "rumor", which means the info. posted here might not be correct. Randomuser, Huiyi and even I myself have alway been trying our best to give the info. as accurate as possible. We all love Sony so we make all the efforts without asking for anything in return. So no people is supposed to be blamed or bashed if the info. is not accurate enough unless he gives the wrong info. intentionally.
So please stop bashing and be indulgent to the people who just want to share info. with Sony fans!

I am a fan of ESATO even if I dont have an account before. It makes me excited everyday checking if there are new rumors. I stayed in here because of the love for Sony/SE. Many people here have contributed and puzzled out rumors but unlike before It seems that it's a very big deal for some who gets the right infos this days.Prototypes change and I believe even if to the last seconds before announcement nothing is certain. Just like on the Z announcement at CES Sony was trying to annalize the best option for them to announce ZL or not. I believe no one gets 100% correct info this far from the announcement day. Anyone here wants to share what rumors they received and due to Sony/SE is not in its former glory everyone here hopes for an instant comeback but I believe its always possible for Sony but still it will take time.Were just disappointed if we have to high hopes. Hope everything will be alright. If someone shares what he has received lets not take it as a fact. Rumors will still be rumors till the anbouncement day.
