Not if it's just one of those case fans than plug into one of the four pin molex power connectors. In that case, the only way is to physically unplug and reconnect it!

If it plugs directly into the motherboard then you might be able to control it's speed from the system tools application that came with your motherboard drivers CD, but not usually.

You need one of those fans with a little speed pot.

If you just use DVD decrypter, you can not copy DVD movie into a blank DVD. It just can remove the CSS protection. Want to copy DVD, you still need DVD COPY OR DVD RIPPER to realize it.

aaaaa: no really freeware for copying DVD.

We are talking about making a backup of DVD's that you legally own of course, aren't we?

I think you might be right, I've never come across any freeware apps that can do everything in one go. Anybody else found any?

It looks like I have deleted my photos from my folder, I'm not sure how, but they appear to be missing. I had emptied the trash folder earlier, and have tried to do a system restore to try and pull them back, but no joy.

Is there anyway of getting them back, or are they lost forever.

It depends on whether the sectors of the hard drive have been physically written over or not. for this reason, try to use your computer as little as possible until you've had a go at recovering the photos using these recovery applications:

http://free-backup.info/data-recovery-software.htm

That page was just the first result of a Google search. There are tons of file recovery apps out there, I'm sure people will suggest others for you to try

Tried to get them back, but even some of the ones I got back, were corrupt.

Oh well, have a backup ofsome, but the recent ones I have lost.

Cheers Anyway
