If you claim to be an insider you should be able to take some criticism and not cry like a baby when people question you. I was going to say something back in the old 2012-thread with all the crazy rumours about "one sony" (yes same old thing there, people seems to have a short memory) but I didnt. Then I saw the whole thing happen again with honami. Crazy rumours "best of sony" and a lot of crazy fanboys destroying this thread not accepting any criticism, bashing old members just expressing their opinion or doubt.

Esato has always been the source for S(E) rumours and all this bullshit destroys that good reputation and creates a hype for Sony phones that they can never live up to.

Edit. @vikeviki well that was a bit uncalled for. "samsung assholes"? what are you, twelve?

Talking about Xperia tablet, any news on Xperia tablet Z successor? I know it will probably come with S800, but IPS58? Will it probably have the same pen features as the Z ultra? Full HD resolution or something like nexus 10? Will Sony only release 10 inch tablets for the next years? I know it's too questions, but the more info we get, the better, plus, is gonna change the feeling in this thread a little bit

Just to go back to the external lens thing for the moment, here's a video showing the RX100 II and the ZL pairing via NFC for wireless camera control from the phone:

You can see there are some parts where it seems to move smoothly, but also other parts where there's a couple seconds of lag. I wonder how likely it is that they'll be able to improve upon that for Honami and even for use of this tech with other phones.

Honami's software platform is developing based on 4.2.2

but few hours after Google introduce Android 4.3, you asking for a phone to release with just a month software?

Shame...

Actually, yes. There is still enough time, plus Android 4.3 is really not that different from Android 4.2.x.

You know it's a little known fact that the reason we haven't seen Key Lime Pie yet is because Google is working to fully integrate Playstation OS into Android. It likely won't be fully ready to go until Q2 2014.

You can trust me!

Not really different? Maybe only on the outside but the whole graphic engine was changed to fully use openGL ES 3.0. If for you it means nothing then I don't know what is something.

AFAIK, Google releases every new Android version to fellow OHA members a few months before unveiling it, so, expecting Android4.3 in a phone that is to be unveiled in a month or two is not much of a demand as the OEMs have had time with it.

I expect any new high end unveiled after this week to be released with Android4.3 out the box. I'm sure the Note 3 will arrive with 4.3 out the box, would be stupid of Samsung if it didn't.

"Google has moved to combat the increasing fragmentation in Android devices, by providing OEMs and manufacturers with earlier access to software to help bring them up to speed. The Google Platform Development Kit (PDK) is in effect an SDK for hardware vendors, and Google will now aim to release it to its partners 2-3 months ahead of each platform release."

Really?:) that would be awesome! WP8 has integration with Xbox and if android will have deep integration with the PS brand it would be really awesome:) it would be a great chance for enhancing sold units for both brands! And also it could be an interesting thing for Sony it would narrow them to the Android world even more... Maybe to the level of creating a Nexus Unit:P! Really interesting point!

PS: I know I am on of those members that promotes OT argument but guys I prefer one or two funny pages about Kazuo Hirai and his GIFs over 3-4 pages with bashing an insult without sense!:/ so sad... I'm not a long time member but Ramu keep your spirit up! Just the fools bash you:D
