Hahaha I won't ever be against Sony cmon. I love Sony wayyyy too much.

Just that I was disappointed to hear about poor screen.

Anyway its not to worry, it COULD be fixed with a firmware update. No problem with the panel but software as Riyal posted on XDA. It's a software issue.

So everyone, do NOT worry. Go ahead and buy the Z

Same here. I love Sony too much. The Pics I have so far of XZ doesn't seem very bad as people are posting here. I can see that the screen looks bad with 100% brightness and that too in dark. When you see the screen in bright sunlight it will not matter that much. Doesn't XZ have a automatic brightness control?

And mario, you cannot expect a great speaker for a waterproof phone. You can always buy one of those "Pink Ball" Speakers!!!!

HTC One? If you like this ugly HTC skin....

I don't believe what I read here. It's a bit crazy, really.
Guys check again the reviews and don't get carried away by some random crap......

I promise I will let you know ASAP when I'll visit Sony Center.

^^

Then doesn't it adjust the screen brightness for best display as per the external lighting conditions?

If the user is setting wrong brightness level for wrong conditions then is it the phone's problem?

Okay. So Sony doesn't have the best display in the market. But that the Z has a stellar display is beyond doubt. Its just not better than the others but can hold its own. As far aa the blacks, at 100% brightness the display looks washed out, more so cause Sony made a stupid decision to have a grey UI.

Hopefully the 4.2 update will have a black UI. Things ought to be better. So overall, Z is still a great package. Can't wait to get mine

grrrr.I don't know what to do......
because of waterproof we have no IR and not that good speaker they said.
and then xperia Z tablet came out with IR and 3d surround sound with 2 speakers(4 outlets), and being waterproof.
At least they should lower its price and we stop complaining. when you pay that much you have big expectations, from a company that didn't entered the game yesterday.

Here it is:

http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2013/02/sony-xperia-z-review/

The sentence:

"Price excepting, though, it’s the best Android phone we’ve reviewed so far."

Thank you and good night.
