Does it has the same thickness as Z3? How's the camera performance? Same or better than Z3? How did you get the prototype?

^the Z4 is thinner than the Z3 but not by a massive amount maybe a mm or 2 at best. The camera UI is the same as the Z3 with a hint of Lollipop, the camera opened up very quick but there was a slight lag between pressing the shutter key to the photo being taken which I'd imagine they'll sort out for launch. I didn't really get the the chance to compare image quality properly but taking the same image on my Z3 there was some noticeable difference albeit not much. I can't really say how I got to use it unfortunately but I may get more time in the next few days to share more things with you.

Hope Sony finds a way to market it. Actually i am disappointed. Why need Z4? Only SoC changed.

if you get to test the Z4 more thoroughly could you let us know whether the front facing camera is actually good in low light? Also is the flash any brighter? Do you know if you can use HDR and scene modes in 20MP now?

As it's Full HD the battery life should be hopefully even better than the Z3.

I just hope the camera is better and volume of music is higher.

Not much different to the Z3?

Seems pretty logical to me. Sony refined the Z series to the point where at this point there isn't a whole lot wrong with the Z3. Class leading batter life, exceptionally bright screen, front facing stereo speakers, a very high level of ingress protection.

Aside from changing up the design of the hardware, including their latest PDAF autofocusing sensor and speeding up their camera software to match the iPhone, there isn't much to do. Most of these are internal or software changes that are invisible or intangible to actual end-users. The design won't see a radical shift cause aside from making the back metal, there isn't much you can do to a rectangular metal slab with rounded edges and 70% of the front covered by a giant, bright screen. They could do some stupid bullshit and overdesign the phone so it has funky angles and bulges or whatever, but that would just look tacky and unsophisticated - like a toy. Maybe they could add a curved screen, who knows.

Z4 won't be much different to the Z3 aside from internals.

Z5 likewise won't be much different to the Z4, aside from the internals and maybe a slight change in the physical construction of the device.

If you expect a radical overhaul with each new device, then you're a fool. At this point there isn't much left to change.
Changing something simply for the sake of making it different is never a good thing. Never.
