^^Do you honestly think that SE phones other than X10 can compete with likes of Samsung Galaxy S I9000, etc.? Lol.. The X8 is not even as good as HTC Hero which was released last year. Haha..

Because it's in a whole other segment, you fool. Ever heard of low-end, mid-range and high-end?

Hilarious.

I think headphones are important and generally good sound output on the device.

Music doesn't need equalizer, it's listener ready!!

Couldn't agree more!

@all

Geez, stop complaining about the friggin android version. Okay, i'd rather have an 2.2 device than a 1.6 one, but in regular use the difference isn't that big. Besides, most customers don't even know that there are different versions at all, so it won't make that much difference on the market.

Android 2.1(update to 2.2 coming soon afta), divx support, multi-touch, super AMOLED, etc. Oh and equaliser. Significant differences don't you think?

I agree.

I dont get it. Equaliser is something that should be in every phone. This is the reason why im not getting the X10.

For you it may not (and hilarious), but for me it is. Since I dont like carrying too many devices in my pocket. I just need one device that has everything that I need.

I agree on the headphones though. I have a Koss earphones waiting

so what do you need an equalizer for? If there is megabass or something like that I use it, but it's certainly not a must...

Im fine with megabass or something like that. Its a must for me because I like tweaking how i hear music. sometimes, i like it more bass-y. sometimes, a little soft.

Whether you use the equaliser or not, it's always nice to have the choice.

We all have different preferences so why not treat us as different people?

Give us the equaliser SE. Pretty please.

The point I was trying to make, you IDIOT, that you can hardly call X8, X10 Mini and X10 Mini pro smartphone even though they are android powered because not much available applications are/are going to be made for them. The size of those phones' screen are the smallest in the entire Android family. Se_dude said that SE is actually competing in the smartphone market by the making these phones when X10 is the only offering from SE right now, and in the time of X8 released, that is a full-fledged smartphone. A smartphone that is able to compete with the likes of other full-fledged smartphones HTC Legend, HTC Hero, HTC Evo, HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy S I9000, Nexus One, IPhone 3GS/4, etc. The point here is not about the market segment but if the device is a smartphone or not.

Have you guys gone mad? The X8 is directed at the likes of spica and others. It is half the price at what the hero was launched at. Gawd!!vX10 is SE's flagship and the i9000 is samsungs. I dont see whats so different here.

Yes, you are right about that. But are the X8 and, X10 mini and X10 mini Pro can be considered as smartphone like the Spica? You said in your post prior to this that SE actually competing in the smartphone segment but you can hardly call the X8, X10 Mini and X10 mini Pro smartphone because of their screen sizes, the smallest in the Android family. These SE phones are like dumb phones but better. X10 is the only offerings from SE that can be called a smartphone.

@rss - You better start your own dictionary. By your rule, Nokia is a dumbphone supplier with only the N900 and the N97 series being a smartphone.

You said that not me! The case of Nokia is different! Android has a lot of applications but the phones X8, X10 mini and X10 Mini Pro will not be able to take advantage of all of them because of hardware limitiations like the screen size. Thus, making those phones less of a smartphone, more of a dumbphone.
