Do you not miss the transparent strip at the back because I really like that aspect of the design? If the inside of the back cover was red for example, would that make the strip look red when it lights up?

I ordered a hard back case from ebay for 99p, I was slightly concerned about how the quality would be. But I am very impressed the case feels really smooth and high quality in the hand and fits the phone perfectly. The bottom side was a bit rough (end of the mould I'm guessing) but a quick rub with sandpaper and its fine.
Said case then went up to £3 on ebay, so really pleased I got in early.
I would still recommend it as its worth £3 for sure!
Also it makes the transparent bar blue which is pretty cool
Here are some phatoes of it
(Don't judge me about the screen, I put a protector on it, but it looks ugly and scratched... tempted to remove it
)

Looks better without those covers, IMO.

I would be inclined to agree with you, but I've seen pictures over at XDA which show that the phone gets scuffed quite easily and the plastic used is actually quite brittle. So I'm going to sacrifice looks to protect my baby
That said, I don't think it looks THAT bad though I mean it still fits nice in the hand and I've seen worse cases, cannot stand gel ones. The colour is a tad blue maybe would have opted for the grey or red ones...

Hi !
@Bonovox, My XS will be in flight mode next Tuesday! Off to China for 2 weeks! I'll ask the pilot to keep the windows and doors closed!
@bavlondon2 not sure if you can get them on EBay, as I never used it.
The Xperia S is called Xperia NX AO-02D in Japan.

Thanks for the answer. The Issentie lcases seems really, really good and nice but for the moment...nothing for the XS. I have ordered one case from Noreve.

Hello
I have used my new xperia S for four days, for the moment no problem of lag or yellow tint. I am very satisfied.
Perhaps the key "return" which is not the most practical...
I would like to know which type of case you use you to protect yours ? (Maybe with some links ?)
Thank you
I use the case I got with X S by default.
I wait for ISSENTIEL cases though.
@bavlondon2
The battery works really well, more or less like Arc.
As for pics I believe Sony doesn't do any stupid optimization when putting on phone. If understand what you mean....

Issentiel are great.
What I look for is the carry pouch, nothing what locks the device.
I like to take it out and carry the phone in the original form...
I hope
pouch will just stay in good condition for a long time.

I liked the look of this phone but I've decided to go with the Moto Razr XT910.
