Legally Abortion in India is Governed By the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act under which Abortion is allowed only upto 20 weeks of pregnancy. Pregnancy beyond 20 weeks CANNOT be terminated by Law unless there is a risk to the Mother's life.
But anyhow, Majority of the pregnancies in India are terminated illegally and unreported.

@oog...my exam from 26 june (2nd term)...might be postponed if the univ exam is postponed by a month.
yup...unlike other universities,our fcuking univ does'nt have fixed dates.they even postponed my seniors final yer exam by 6 months!!!

yup- generally our final exams are held in october.. This time it'll be in December.. So i get hopefully an extra two months which i can put to good study use..

yup oog is right...most r illegal.in northindia,female feoticide is VERY COMMON.in morth india,especially in the rural part,if a female child is born,the people in the house r very sad...as if a death has occured in the house.but if a boy is born,the family distributes sweets to the whole village.
THIS IS ONE FCUKING THING I HATE ABOUT MY COUNTRY....I AM ASHAMED OF THIS.
