...To give you guys an example of some of the costs of living here, this is what we pay roughly a month:
Mortgage: approx £1100 a month
(That's for a 3 bedroom detached house in a good area close to London!)
Life Insurance (complete) £100 a month
Building and Contents Insurance £40 a month
Gas: approx £50 a month (in Winter months)
Council Tax (rates): approx £140 a month
Electricity: approx £40 a month
Sky Digital: £21 for the Family Package a month
Broadband: £16 a month
Telephone landline rental: £11 a month
Petrol: just under 90p (approx R12.00) per litre for 95 unleaded!
Compare the cost of a meal at Spur to the figures quoted above, lads, and you'll see the picture

Kyle, even though heavy gprs usage will sap any battery over time, 3 hours from fully charged to drained does seem a bit off par.

How long have you had your phone for Kyle? And do you let your battery run down or are you an excessive charger? (like you have half but you charge to full anyway.) Over time that gives your battery a shorter lifespan.
