Will post my home screen soon
But i will tell you i removed winterboard (again), removed quick gold also, although i love both...however, RAM is very precious to me...iīve been spoiled by the P1, and with the iphone i seem to be back to P990 days regarding multitasking...Apple needs to do seriously optimization on the Iphone OS ram management...128mb should be enough for very good performance in this area
Anyway, i digress...my corrent setup envolves intelliscreen, Swirly MMS, My SMS, Backgrounder, Dock (use it instead of quickgold, because its less heavy on resources), SBSsettings, plus all the Safari pluggins

How much RAM do you reckon quickgold uses up? Would there be a noticable difference if i uninstalled it? I mean i use it every now and again, but i could probably live without it now tbh. Plus also i think it causes a compatibility issue with Cycorder

i think around 5mb...i did it after reading some stuff online...a guy that replaced it for Dock...
anyway, do the test...check free RAM with and without it with sbsSettings...it also slows down the phone a bit, although you increase speed in finding apps you want
if only apple would add something like it to the OS...would be the better solution...remember, the Palm Pre already has similar functionality, and Apple also has it on Leopard (quicksilver)
Hereīs my current homescreen

WOW! You've got 10 pages of apps

Well, i have 8, but i have about 40 spacer apps in place atm.
I have however just removed my wallpaper.html from my setup, so no big clock and date and no weather widget, i've also uninstalled quickgold. Noticed a slight increase in RAM size. Sitting at 23mb, before it was about 15mb at best.
I noticed when first opening SBSettings that the available RAM says 50mb, then it drops to 23-25mb. Strange. I'm guessing that is just the RAM size when the phone is locked and after springboard boots it goes to 25mb and it's just taking a few seconds to refresh.
What else can I do to free up more RAM? and how much free RAM are you getting without Winterboard installed?

winterboard...depends on what you use with it, i guess...if you have alot of stuff toggled, it will use more RAM...i guess its fine to use it for a "lite" theme, liveweather and dock reflections...if you start adding more and more stuff to it, it will become heavy
btw, hereīs 5 rows springboard lol

p.s.: i donīt have all the pages full...need to do some organizing, and it will decrease 3 pages...at least...
