So, there is rumours for a new Tablet Z for IFA. I assume it is going to be released not after start of October, as the latest info says Honami won't... Considering both will be shown at the same time, both should also release together...

cheaper and smaller 8 inch s800 tablet z is nice..16gb at 399 would be awesome...

I just remember Sony's Exmor RS sensors should be made in RGBW (red-green-blue-white) coding like that, but still I'm looking forward for a new Exmor sensors for mobile made by Sony.

Why not? Maybe for Honami, it will be topped also with RGBW.

Xperia Z's Exmor RS was supposed to come with RGBW sensors but was scrapped due to lag of time.
OT: Sony buys OmniVision sensors for their budget phones.

Any info on size or anything like that? I want a new tablet to go with Honami and am hoping it'll be at least the size of the Tablet Z

In the picture that shows the G Lens branding has anyone else noticed the "G" which stands for Gold Standard isn't gold in colour. I know this is only a prototype/ pre production model which May not represent the final product it would be great to see uniform branding.

G lens logo was never gold to begin with

but you're right G means "Gold" just like in Nikon's definition, and the G logo on Nikon one was Gold colored

I guess it means they have to release it 2-3 weeks after what they had projected before which was stated midle of September it will be October until we see first units hit the shelves.
Maybe they've counted that into the equation when saying sep 30th. We don't know if that means anything will be delayed. The software I'm talking about refers mostly to Ultra...which is still in final testing.

Yeah. Some who bought the Xperia Ultra reported that the software is not like as shown on the demos. Some features are still missing on the released ZU in Asia.

Not sure why some people here resent me, when I do sometimes post good posts every once in a long while - but that's just them being silly

I kind of get the impression that over the past 6 months or so that Sony has joined the top tier of devices. People that are non-Sony fans or other people, that sometimes I would refer to as 'non-technical' people, are even aware of Sony now thanks to the Xperia Z joining the likes of the (dare I say it) iPhone range, the top tier HTC range, the top tier Nokia-Windows Phone camera-orientated range and the Samsung Galaxy Sx range. Is Sony aiming to surpass some of these with the Honami and to become top of this top tier range? Is this manageable for Sony with the Honami?
