do I ditch my N95-2 for a 5800 sometime next year or await a better one from Nokia ?

I remember reading you don't use your N95 8GB regularly atm, so it's probably in as new condition.
I'd keep it a while longer then, some interesting phones are coming up, this way you have time to see, whether they live up to the expectations we have, when we read their specs on paper, or turn out to be a disappointment, like the N96 is to many of its owners.
When one of them then really turns out to be great, it still pays, to wait : it'll have less bugs and will be alot cheaper .

When you like the Nseries, I'd wait to see if there's any sign of a touch-screen Nseries phone coming in the near future.
Compared to E and Nseries' Symbian phones, Xpress Music phones are a bit "simple" imo .

The 5800 isnt even the S60 touch flagship so best to wait for that I guess.

Gimme a break!

The all touch based nseries phone wont be n97, if it does, then thats the one going to have a physical buttons as well.

I think you should wait!

1) Nseries touch phone may be announced in Late November or early December, but shipping may take till March 2009 - enough time to save

2) Sell the N95-2 to seasonally upgrade to the N85 - get same features & functions but the processor may show its slight weakness in games like Star Wars on N-Gage.

3) Sell the N95-2; downgrade and bank the extra doh! Seriously. Think about this ... you'll get to appreciate functions you miss using - don't crimp on camera though if you like the N95s' 5MP quality. But banking the extra doh will already give you a head start on the Nseries touch or even go full out on the new top-tier N series late spring.

The E-Series is QUALITY built buddy, much better than ANY of the current N-series. Hardly any issues en-masse of the E-Series E71/66. Sure camera's aren't the best but the operation of the OS is stable as the N95-4 if not better. Expect to see the build quality and possibly even metal transcend into the future N-series; starting with the N79 faux metal trim and the N85 quality slider.

But like you said if Miss UK has an N95-4 sell that, keep the N95-2 save for the next major thing.

- wait for higher resolution S60 FP2 to debut.
