You are confusing 6230 with 6230i.6230 was released before k700.
S700 never had edge.
S710a (American version, released later) had edge.

Yeah sorry you are right about S710.

6230i is the one that had 1.3mp and edge, and was released over a year later than the K700. 6230, as you mentioned was introduced before K700, and had no edge, only a vga camera of much poorer quality than the K700 and only a 128x128 screen. it did have expansion but was such a crappy phone in all other respects that I can't compare it to the K700. Given the amount of K700 onboard memory it's similiar to todays example of the N95 GB in that the amount of onboard memory is comparable to the size of current memory cards (well atleast in the K700 case it had 40MB, whereas the 6230 came with 6MB onboard and a 32MMC card) So for an overall superior phone the K700 can qualify as a "phone with everything" in the same way the N95 GB today can be considered the same even though it has no memory expansion (nor a touchscreen).

Where did you get this info??? this would be my perfect phone

That will be my perfect phone too. I guess the info is from his 'undercover' friend working for SE in Dubai.I have saved the post/specs and will ask him again in 6 or so months I have my reservations thou especially what video rec resolution goes.

"optical zoom" hey, if you want to make up stories, at least make them possible to believe.

Sure, everything is possible. But to give a device this feature will effect the size negative. Its just not realistic. And to be honest, who needs the zoom function for the price of the extra volume this will take?

Optical Zoom and Xenon Flash is one problem that Sony needs to solved.
Did you know that SO905iCS has Optical Zoom + LED Flash?
Then, did you realize that C905 has Xenon Flash without Optical Zoom?

Xenon Flash needs one or two big capacitor that provide the power to light on the flash (Space-Eater.)
Optical Zoom by Sony are using folded-lens design (again, Space-Eater).

If Xenon Flash and Optical Zoom incorporated in C905, it would be too bulky. That's the reason SE didn't do that!

Let's see how they fix this problems. Technology will answer

well like all electronic components the big capacitors get smaller and smaller. If you look at resistors they have come from 1cm long 5mm wide cylinders to a rectangle about 1mm*3mm and transistors have become so small they are only one molecule wide!
