Well i was hoping to get mine on 14th June on O2 PAYG, but now i dont know. I wanted to get it on PAYG to get free GPRS but apparently thats ended, today. How typical.

I might get one sim free now if i think the higher price difference is worth it.
One thing i do know is, id never buy a Vodaphone handset as ive always known how badly they screw up your phone with their settings. What really suprises me is how popular they are, and how many people's posts i read on forums like Esato who have always been with Vodaphone say they like their operator.
Are you people crazy ? Vodaphone have never been a good operator (IMHO) even if they are the worlds number 1 operator. :?:

Yes. If you get your phone from a third party vendor
like carphone warehouse you will be able to obtain an
unbranded phone which you can have on Vodafone.
Note you have to be careful in that I believe Carphone Warehouse also sells vodafone contracts which are different than the ones which the Vodafone shops sell. They way I have dealt with that is I obtained my number/contract from the Vodafone shop as a sim only. Then I went to Carphone Warehouse and purchased my phone and put it on the existing Vodafone contract and received the discount on the phone. I believe Carphone Warehouse refers to this as an "handset upgrade".
I do find the division between retail and wholesale and Carphone Warehouses private branding of Vodafone somewhat confusing. So to some extent you need to make a decision about both the network you wish to use as well as who do you want to call when you have a problem.

Who said this ? Its probably a wind-up as the K700's OS is very different to the Symbian 60 OS.

hi all...
the first K700s have shown up here in Singapore
a Chinese sticker on the side of the box tells me these were leeched from Hong Kong
if anyone's interested, they're asking SGD1050 for it...
which is EUR508...
which is HK$4767...
which is US$611...
which is ridiculous!
