Yes the c510 had the problem of the 3.2 mega pixel & Cyber Shot words peeling off. It happened to me on my older one before I re bought it. My w995 no peeling problems & I dont think the logo will peel off its engraved. I did read someone had their 8.1 mega pixel words peel off but that would not bother me so much. Its not that I look at it all the time

just been and had a look at downloading this, but the w995 is not on the offical list.
So, which model one have people been downloading?
If downloaded to PC, how do you upload and install on the phone?

Also, a2 uploader tool, what is it? and where is a good safe place to get this from?

you can go to here http://www.opera.com/mini/ with the browser on your phone and directly download it to your phone on the site you have a choice of email it to your phone or SMS it to your phone ,your choise,they send you a direct link to the site on your phone to download the program. works very well with the W995i and it takes 2 min to instal.
try this link for A2 uploader

It won't peel off because it's being embossed on metal, no way it could get peeled off unless you hammer the back cover and flatten the logo and wordings I'm pretty sure you're talking about C510 or something.

It peels off Mode it's not being embossed on metal, it's just like sticker Mine "Sony Ericsson" on front, M2 card on side & "8.1 megapixel" from back are peeled off already But i don't care, still looks very nice

That's really strange, never knew there are manufacturing variants for W995. Mine is definitely embossed because if I flip the back cover the words are clearly engraved in the metal

Btw, if any W995 owners treasure their Album Art in their Albums list, DO NOT update to the latest firmware. It might as well be called 'Track Art' because the only time you see them is when you play the tracks. SE is up to their antics again, giving us what we don't need (like 2 seconds faster album name search) and taking away what we need (Album Art in a music centric device). They have donkeys making decisions up there and I'm paying for it.

If they wanted to do something to begin with they should've given us a faster processor, not take away eye candy to make up for lagginess leaving us with a boring half baked device.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately it's stilll 320x240 instead of what I expected to be 384x240. But the bitrate is among the highest I've seen on qvga recording with around 800kbps as opposed to the common 200-300kbps making the clarity quite impeccable. Was SE so desperate to mark up their own dinosaur aged specs but couldn't do so till they had to lie just to make sure it sells (wqvga recording, Walkman 4.0)? Pffhh. They've actually come to that

I found video recording a touch jerky at times. When i moved it around in natural daylight every few seconds it would jerk. Is it really 30fps? Also the SonyEricsson logo is embossed on the battery cover but not on the front.

@Bonovox
Yes, I find that it jerks somewhat with image stabiliser turned on so I have it deactivated most of the time. The framerate is usually around 25fps which is still acceptable and shouldn't appear less smooth than 30fps

Thanks again guys, anyone would provide a link to a video download (taken with a retail unit) so i could compare it with a video taken with my C702?

Also, would you advice against using image stabilization on this phone (for both Pics and video)?
