@ jah and others

WM5 and bluetooth can be resolved. Firstly, there are some registry hacks needed. I have them if you need them.

Second, dependent on your mobile carrier, you must ask them to extend the ring time before cut off to voicemail.

And that's it.

for those who want to test it out

http://www.microsoft.com/down[....]e2-cc500ed1f19a&DisplayLang=en

you can download a pc emulator of windows 5 that is fully functional

also there is a free flash player for windows mobile 5 that is flash 7 compatible so you can browse the web as is and you can design flash programs for your tytn

just a question Masseur can you change the icons for the programs on your device ?

and I am in Spain at the moment anyone know where I can get this baby, if not here I'm gonna go to Dubai in a week I'll grab it there if I can't find it I'll buy it online lol

In a French review, the guy who was testing it said the TyTn had 50 mb of ram after booting the device.
By the way, are there any selectable profiles unlike UIQ3?

I've never wanted to change an icon in windows mobile and a quick look doesnt suggest any obvious way of doing it

in regards to memory, I have a few apps installed in internal memory and some on memory card and currently I am showing

Storage memory: Total:56.96mb, in use: 33.32mb, free: 23.64mb
Program memory Total: 48.80mb, in use: 25.16mb and free, 23.64mb

I'm waiting on a 2gb transflash to arrive and am using a 512mb at the mo. As soon as it arrives I'll probably install more apps on the card freeing up more internal memory

Is there a TomTom Version that will install on the HTC TyTn?

If so, i guess i'll be buying this then as apposed to the p990i.

Does anyone know how I can unlock the Vodafone v1605 (TyTN) in the UK? I should be receiving the phone tomorrow.

Thanks,

Hi, just got Dopod 838Pro(same as as HTC, O2 Trium), here in Singapore 5 days ago. I actaully waited for SE P990 for so long already and when I saw this PDA phone, I had 2nd thought. I told my self that if HTC will come out first, I will give SE P990 a miss.

P990 will be coming out in Singapore on 18 August, (Dopod 838Pro)HTC came out last sunday(6 August 2006). I can't wait for P990 anymore, so when I saw, I immediately bought it.

So far no complain, really nice phone it does everything...it's the 1st PDA phone thats supports HSDPA(3.5G) and it's quad band and it's a joy to play with it, it turns everyone heads anywhere, looks very classy but simple. And most of all, it's windows.

Yes TomTom Navigator 5.21 works perfect on the TyTn.
