As I've watched CNN's - Nuclear Bomb/Weapon reports weeks back . . . countries concerned with this nuke issue is kinda AFRAID what might transpire IF one starts firing theirs US is NOT that sure IF their missiles are THAT accurate . . . BLOCKING incoming ones or in any-which-direction it goes Their hardwares were already prepared years or perhaps decades back, and they haven't much TESTED those for a loooong period now US is NOT that sure too if their missiles will launch

It's been reported that Pyangyang has positioned SOME of their hardwares AIMED at:

-Japan
-South Korea
-Alaska

etc.

On a lighter note, just heard on the radio that this nuclear test has had an unexpected side effect...

The sale of condoms in South Korea has rocketed!! Think people's survival instincts (or something like that!) have been, er, aroused!

@aragorn - why don't you go into N. Korea, and take Elandil, Flame of the West and put the fear of the Valar into them!

(sorry, little Lord of the Rings joke there!)

Who said anything about Western style democracy? I simply made the point that the people of Iran don't have a choice as to who their most powerful leader is. Incidentally, you may complain about people like Bush or Blair, but at least we have the option of not voting for them and of protesting against them. Unfortunately the people of Iran have no such luxury when it come to the Ayatollah.

A 'bit extreme'? Personally I wouldn't use any mitigating adjective.

His talk of wipeing Isreal of the map is is part of that aswell,..Israel is occupying stolen Palestinian land so calling for the destruction of it is a natural thing to say for him....The problems in that region have existed only because of the constant injustice and inhumane treatment of the Palestianians by Israel...Until a Palestinian state is created neighbouring countries such as Iran will always have extreme views towards them...I myself am against a single state of Israel with the Palestinians having no place to go....A Two state solution is the only way forward if everyone is to peacefully co-exist!

Let's cut the party political broadcast on behalf of the Palestianians out please, I think we both know that we could list of a long list of things each side is responsible for.

It's a shame Iran chooses to finance and equip terrorist actions rather than channelling those funds to the Palestinian people directly. They must know that all those terrorist actions do is anger Israel, which then retaliates, with the Palestianin and Israeli people being caught in the middle and suffering. It would fit them better to try and actually bring about a two state solution instead of stoking the fires of war.

Actually if you think thats a party political broadcast then thats what it is,Its the Palestinians that are the victims here not Israeli's....All Isreal has to do is to stop stealing land that doesn't belong to them and stop the consistant murder of men, women and children and recognise the Palestinians then neither side has to suffer...Palestinians are fighting for their very survival with nothing or very little, whilst the Israeli's have heavy weaponry and a relative life of luxury.

Its only natural to side with the opressed (Palestinians) rather than the oppressors (Israeli's).

Breaking news at Fox and CNN are high level reports claiming that the North Koreans nuclear detonation on Sunday was a 'dud' compared to US capabilities.

"Our military's Peacekeeper ICBM, on the other hand, is 20.2 meters long - that's over 70 feet! Can you imagine the power of such a bold cylindrical weapon?!" an incredulous Fox News reporter asked audiences.

"When it goes off, it produces an almost orgasmic boom equal to 400 kilotons of raw destructive carnage.

"But the North Koreans just shot their wad and it turned out to be less than a single kiloton. Truly, the United States is still the most well-endowed military power in the world."

Fox followed the report with a four minute mini-documentary covering the evolution of the United States as a nuclear power to the backing music of Queens' We are the Champions.

Earlier today, however, Russia's defense minister confirmed his agencies' estimate of the Korean detonation as being somewhere between five and 15 kilotons. If Russian Intelligence is correct, than the girth of North Korean's nuclear achievement is far more likely to impress hot Asian women of the 18-25 demographic than the most pessimistic Pentagon estimates.

The White House is adamant, however, Kim Jong Il's regime is lying about the size of its nuclear capability.

"Our experts at Langley are pouring over Google Earth satellite images around the clock, looking for unusual smudges and floating cars that might reveal the presence of radioactivity. Our team, drawn from a talented pool of MIT grads who lack only the business skills to succeed in the private sector, are working with the best computational hardware that money can buy," Pentagon spokesman Maj. Bradley Paige "We owe a great debt in particular to our kind sponsors at Alienware and EA Games. Incidentally, I'd like to take a moment to say Challenge Everything, in accordance to our agreement with our very close friends and partners."

Meanwhile, recent internal leaks suggest worrying signs that the CIA is floundering in a sea of uncheckable intelligence. The problems are exaccerbated by recent budget cuts in the North Korean Intel departments that have led, it is believed, to the disappearance of the department's water cooler, as well as Wednesday morning bagels.

"The Commander-in-Chief's weapons are the hugest," White House press secretary Tony Snow assured reporters. "Believe me. Is that the best you can do North Korea? Half a kiloton? In the words of a great American and a great American movie - Bring It On!"
