In the payg chart how come the L6 last week was upto 5 months and now this week it is 8 months at the top? has it gone through a time warp? (its just a jump to the left, and a step to the right).

The L6 was knocked off the top spot the
1st two weeks of this year by the K750i and the W810i and also on the 26th January and the 2nd February.so its hardly an almost unbroken run.
EDIT:

May be he has one himself

I'm interested to see how the W880i performs - all the networks are carrying it and it has entered the top twenty in its first week.
Surprised to see the N73 hit the top spot all of a sudden, I thought the Shine might have took top spot this week.

Contract Sales
The LG Shine hits the top spot this week. Sales have risen steadily since its launch last month. The Nokia 6300 also makes its entry into the contract chart at number 15. Retailers are confident that sales on this will be strong because of its low trade price, simple but sleek design and business functionaility. The handset is already being hailed as the next 6310, which was a huge hit for the manufacturer.

PAYG Sales
The Motorola L6 finally loses its stranglehold on the top spot this week, slipping to number two behind the Sony Ericsson K750i. Further down the chart, the similar looking but cheaper priced Motorola F3 makes an entry. Could this be part of the reason for the L6's downfall?

2 (1) Motorola L6 - Eight months and counting
3 (3) Motorola V3 RAZR - Pink version still going strong
4 (4) Sony Ericsson W810i - Hero musicphone

An interesting week seeing a few new entries. The W880i jumps 15 points to join the K610i, W850i and K800i all in the top ten contract best sellers.
The ongoing battle between the K750i and the Moto L6 also sees a change.

2 (3) Motorola V3 RAZR - Pink version still going strong
3 (4) Sony Ericsson W810i - Hero musicphone

This week also sees a very strong performance from Sony Ericsson; with a total of 4 phones firmly in the top ten contract sellers and the W810i looking like its being replaced by the newer and slimmer W880i.
Motorola's KRZR still failing to have the impact of the iconic V3 - and it being the company's only handset in the contract top twenty.
