imo, N82 is still lower rank than N95 8Gb. N82 is a replacement for N73. The 2.8inch screen of N95 8Gb is the killer and I'll take this over xenon flash any time

I'd wondered what Nokia would do with all the leftover N92 screens....
Since owning N95, I'm put off sliders again(abysmal compared to say, E65, or 8800)......and flips too, for that matter(N76, E90).....
.......I just want a candybar smartphone, with WLAN and decent camera.......N82 should achieve that, maybe even a sensible batt. life, too!

Things I'd like to see.
N82 Deliver at under $650CAN (wishful thinking I know) by end of February 2008. 30fps VGA Recording & playback with TV Out. HOPEFULLY charging via USB Micro port.
E61i successor > slightly Less wide by about 2/3 Inch. Yeah its WAY too wide. I'd like to see it somewhere between the Motorola Q9h & Dopod C730 in width. Thickness can increase by 4mm - acceptable - if qvga video playback is 30fps. & qvga recording as well. faster response as well.
Brand new model I'd like to see a new innovation. I'm not talking iPhone or SE W960 like finger touch control but also with accurate input via VOICE to speech at a fairly common native english tongue speaking person from North America typically speaks. Which to you Europeans is VERY slooow hehe.
Lastly, Long ago Ericsson though up something very simple, even uncanny in its simplicity but I loved it for text entry on my T39m back in the day and would even love to use it - if compatible - on my K790 (going back in the box). The Thumbboard. I loved this ... it was the width of the current qwerty's we see now on BB 7920 models and slimmer than 8mm. Also it had no power on its own drawing from the port on the bottom of the Ericsson's and was ingenious!

N82 specs are not out in concrete AFAIK, but i agree with mib1800 that the N95 8gb is a tough act to follow, infinately superior to the dreadfull N81 ( though a tad more expensive).

I was out with my brother last night and not only was the slider on his N95 was just wobbletastic but his phone crashed about 6 times. Whats needed is a no-nonsense, high end candybar and Nokia would do good to make sure the N82 comes to fruition.
