it's the same.
although some user's have reported an overall speed increase, I haven't noticed that.
don't expect miracles, this update only contains some major bug fixes.

I'd say messages and contacts open faster but what do I know? I have over 600 contacts and had over 200 sms and 50 long (with att) emails so maybe that's why it appears faster to me - i have no messages left.But I feel like Contacts are opening faster.

When that phone is off then no alarm sounds! Unless its on power adapter, but I cannot confirm this, never tried that one!
