ok i found a tutorial i think i can work with, so just want to confirm if i have understood everything:
Install the PC suite to your PC (i've already got it on the PC and i dont have the latest version will this make a difference?)
Install AppTRK.sis to the phone
Load up the PC suite and find the details of the port numbers your phone is using
This is where i get stuck once i find my port numbers what do i do with them? I know you have to edit the 1.py file but what exactly do you edit?
Once the py file is changed still in phone mode you run apptrk.sis on your phone? I thought all apps were blanked out when in phone mode...
After apptrk shows the phone is connected you run the cmd prompt which in turn will run the 1.py file and this will close automatically once closed you can disconnect your phone and open up xplore to find all your private folders unlocked?
Could someone please just let me know if what i have is correct so far and clear up the queries i have with the whole hack.
Sorry about this, just dont want to mess anything up.
----Edit----
In other news, i was browsing some other forums and noticed a post, apperently after this mod you cannot update via SEUS?!?!?
Did anyone know of this, is this true? Any opinions?

No, you can still update with SEUS. You'll have to somehow corrupt the cda somehow to block the update, and you can't do that by just editing files on the writeable areas like this.
(edit: seems the servers are rebelling right now, so you can't update after all - can't imagine it's got anything to do with the hack, though..)
..First thing you have to do is install the software on the computer - python, python windows com- interface, and python serial interface. Then, you can connect the phone in phone- mode, and install apptrk.sis (using the suite wizard, or uploading it to the phone - but then you'd have to switch between phone- mode and file- mode a few times). Then, look in the device- manager under com/lpt (with the phone connected) and you'll see two ports. The one that says phone something has a number, in my case com 8.
The 1.py is really a script designed to use the apptrk - the on- device debugger you can use with an IDE - and it's using the com- port interface for the phone on the computer end. In the 1.py there's a line saying something like "serial.Serial(4) # I have COM5" - change the (4) to your com- port minus one, in my case (7).
Now (still connected in phone- mode) start the apptrk- app. It's using another port on the device, by default two. If it shows "connected", all's well. If not, change the port to 1.
Then open a command line, and find the dir with the 1.py script. Run it - lots of text should appear. If all goes well, it should say close, >end +exit towards the end.
At this point the hack is complete, you can open the private and system- folders on c: on the phone.
(edit: After you check "show system folders" on x-plore or Swissmanager).
After that, consider installing capsswitch, so you can open and close the permissions to the debugger without going through all that (google capsswitch). It's also not a good idea to have the permissions open all the time. ..It requires you to overwrite a file the apptrk installed - do so by copying that file to /sys and installing the program on the phone- mem (in any sequence you'd like). Don't worry about replacing hashes. Then run capsswitch from "tools", and open and close permissions as you wish on the device.
Easy as cake.
