Good for SE to make some brave decisions and release highend stuff.
Honestly X2, X10 and Satio rounds their nice top portfolio.
As for X10 I'm not sooooo impressed by the UI - the video shows it's slow,
but with some time to release - it will be fine.
But the look of android UI by SE does not really impress me - I'd like to have more clear one.
The new media one (mediascape?) in fact does not differ really from media panel on X1, I honestly don't see any substantial difference.
The timescape follows the latest trends around services integration.
But again - the interesting part would be to see the browser and how the apps really work like email.
I'm sure X10 will be great device!
Me personally - hope SE will still also use WM which I prefer hands down.

Funny to see the story of a product.
Some leaks, blurry and bad, then some gossip, and the ball gets bigger, fake garbage and fanboys hopes and "insider info" makes the ball enourmous.
And when it gets official, alot of kids gets pissed because it doesn't have a kitchen sink everywhere, and where are the speakers?
And is it 65k or 262k LCD?
Guys, this display is going to be the best EVER from SEMC.
It's not Amoled, but it's one fine device, and one great display, and Satio is not a match imo.
Besides, Satio have a garbage OS and is resistive, Rachael when finished is going to provide a wast improvment in user ability over the Satio.
And one more last thing, you guys think it's taking a year to finish a product like Rachael... your a joke.
One good advice, do not comment on things you don't know anything about, and let's see how it is when released, then you can adress all your creative views and sparkling questions.
I'm pulling a chair up to Synn's table, and let you kids continue this great , no crap garbage device.

@seal when was the last phone SE released with 65k screen, the W205, the J132 see what im getting at here (the x2 is a winmo phone that is limited by ms ... kinda) ... this phone will either have 16M or 262K. and commenting on the speed of the phone is clearly ignorant right now. ALL and i mean _ALL_ of the android system operations are quick and lag free, it is ONLY using the SE apps, such as Time/MediaScape where the phone is cripplingly slow. Maps is fast, but better yet the browser is LIGHTENING fast on 3g, so ill wait till feb before i start crying, i really dont know what the f**k you were expecting though. after all these years and all your attempts at paris i would think that you would be wiser to temper your enthusiasm. this phone is head and shoulders above 98% of the devices out there. im happy for a glass screen that was HUGE. it has a GIG of internal mem which is 2x more than droid.
oh btw who cares what their software looks like, and why whine about android 2 which is only on ONE phone right now ... i mean for f**ks sake guys step back from the glass a minute, itll be ok. chances are 100% that youll be able to port android 2 to your device the day you open it from the box, so it really shouldnt be a valid complaint from the herd. and even if you dont want to suck it up, SE knows they cant release a 1ghz phone that performs worse than a p990 ... lets keep things in perspective.
theres no way the screen is 65K positioned at the TOP of SEs portfolio for next season.

my_ninja: Most people here (and on Engadget etc.) Don't seem to understand the fundamental difference between Google experience devices and customized Android builds. I'm tired of explaining, so I'll let things take their own time to unfurl.

Errr glasses mate - look at sentence above (my eyes are going too)
Also must remeber that Moto fundamentally rethought their strategic direction quite some time back 1.5/2 yrs ago and threw all their chips into the Android basket
The whole para is esentially about Moto's Android strategy
In rertrospect should've been more clearly worded as has casued confusion, for which I apologise.
But trivial point anyway main point is Motorola and HTC are Strtegic Partner Co's for Google SE (and the rest Sammie Dell etc) are not
BAAH! OK I concede - glasses needed (in truth I do). I thought SE was a strategic partner for Google. After this I'm sure soon enough Google will want them to be. We'll see.

It runs Android 1.6 and Sony Ericsson’s New UX (User Experience) platform is going to offer a great and entuitive user experience. This platform will evolve across platforms and is not limited to Android – thank god![/quote]
So eventually we'll see this on either X2 or future model and on replacement for Satio.

Nice and logical move somehow.

I have a couple of questions - does it have Java support and if yes, which Java Platform does it run?
How does the camera interface look?
Does it have a dedicated file explorer like all other SE phones?
Does Opera support this phone ( or Android at all ) with any version of Opera Mini or Opera Mobile?

@ron.jeremy
Thanks for posting. All there seems to have been in this thread up to now is further speculation over the screen, video calling, the CPU etc. I thought once the rumour thread closed that all that would end.

wish that they deliver it on schedule, and not a year after (as they did with the X1)...
