If someone is content with Symbian, such as myself, and there aren’t any significant gains in terms of IQ.. There is absolutely no reason to upgrade from an 808.

This device will be bigger and heavier overall, which will make it harder to use with one hand. So .. you have to kind balance that against how much you like bigger screens with higher resolutions. In my case, I don't care.

The other point is the battery.. the 920 is not a champion in that department, and adding the phase 1 system in it wouldn't make things any better. The 808 has very good battery life.. especially considering the tiny 1400 mah battery.

Then, there is the price.. the 808 will hit $300/unlocked in no time, which will put at least $400 under the EOS without a contract.

I dunno.. we will have to wait and see, but at this point, I see no point to switch my little monster.

Nokia is gaining better sales again but it won't win the smartphone sales awards with just a great camera. It is all about the OS & Eco system is it not?? But I don't care for their popularity I just love Nokia!!!!

Why though? Why do you LOVE the brand? A brand that has changed its identity countless times? Which Nokia do you love anyway ... the textile Nokia, the Symbian Nokia (who's executive team spent billions to pay their own pockets but did launch innovative and creative designs over 14yrs that led the industry in creativity and even prompted the non-competition to actually compete (apple ahem), or is it the Elop Nokia of Windows Phone that is paying huge $$ and barely innovating on the software front - Maps/Camera the exception and given such great intellectual property to the collective Windows Phone participants (Samsung and HTC) when they're NOT contributing anything!!

How much reserves is Nokia burning through to stay afloat? How much is Microsoft continually willing to support Nokia and will they continue to do so when a new entrant can offer better products at more competitive price points in critical growth markets on a global scale?

I used to love nokia, blindly - 6600/6620/NGage QD/E71-2 x2times/N85/N86 ... but they forgot about innovation until the 41MP.

Lastly WHO is making the sensor for Nokia???!?!?!

A year ago, they were one of the two mature companies. Now they're not. Keep as much as I hate the sheep, this won't get them anywhere.

Is it really out of the question that it comes with an updated CPU (SD600 or 800)? If the screen resolution is 720p or 1080p, I dont care. The only thing that makes me hesitant is the supposely 1,5 year old CPU.

It doesn't matter with Windows Phone.. it runs fine on the current gen hardware.

The real question is how are they powering that monster camera.. did they manage to port the Broadcom GPU system from the 808 over to WP ? I am very curious to see how they made it work.

Non of the current gen SoC's support everything the phase 1 system requires, at least not officially. And yes, not even the snap 800.. it does support up to 50mpix count, but the mpix count is just part of the story with Phase 1.

by the way, this is a controlled leak.. its right before the Honami announcement.
