One thing that really bugs me somehow, not that it would really make a difference, is that the S5 has only 2GB of RAM.
Samsung always tried to push maximum specs in its flagships, be it the Galaxy S or the Note series. The Galaxy S4 was better than the Note 2, Note 3 better than S4 and S5 better than Note 3.
But Note 3 having 3GB RAM and S5 2GB kind of surprised me and even now does.

It's the reason why I'm not getting the S5, I also found it odd that they went backwards on the RAM compared to Note 3, that's why I think Samsung are trying to tell us that the very top specs are moving to the Note series, which could be why they launched the NotePRO series of tablets.

Mu guess is that with Android 4.4.2, the new architecture of the Snapdragon 801 and the new TW version, 2G of Ram is sufficient

If it actually works they've removed one of the biggest disadvantages of BSI sensors.. I need to see samples but in theory it does sound promising. The S5 has a relatively big sensor as well.. close to the 1520/ICON/Z1/Z2

You have some photo samples here

They are good but not impressive, I would say Z1/ lumia 1520 quality.

The Note series needs more RAM because of the extra software which run on it and the larger screen. Air command in particular. I dont see the S5 as being substantially better than the Note 3 though. Touchwiz needs to be toned down to unleash the power of the CPU. Apparently there will be an update for the Note which will give it the new Touchwiz look that will come on the S5. I hope it tones down touchwiz a good bit.

I'm really having some trouble with RAM, more RAM would be welcome.
S5 doesn't need more RAM than Note 3, but definitely not less than Note 3...

Nevertheless I'm really curious about S5's camera performance in low light, like to see some objective comparison withother flagships.

I don't think that the larger screen requires more RAM

Samsung execs deny a Galaxy S5 Premium, yet hint at an upscale smartphone lineup... and a Note 4

The Russians already have samples. They pit the S5 camera against nokia and the note 3.

surprisingly, the note 3 seems to be taking better photos. the S5 seems to have a quality comparable to that of z1 or maybe z2. they're noisy.

see them here: http://www.mobile-review.com/[....]samsung-galaxy-s5-camera.shtml
