Let's think about this for a moment:
31 Million users have phones in Canada
over 1.6 Billion in China, Japan, Taiwan.
102 Million in the USA.
Let's say each of those users have 3 chargers in the past 4 yrs, lets say just 30% have a phone more than 7yrs ... you can see the numbers of landfill add up quite substantially. Not many places in each country mentioned (or globally) so it's a BIG issue.

Well, it was just an ad about wireless chargers, and how it might eliminate wired ones. The funny thing there was the people's reaction to those furniture... it was kinda amusing.
But yeah, I know where you're comin from, if we think about this issue seriously - it really is a valid point. Not only excess chargers but a lot of excess phones as well. And not only in the US but in a lot of other countries as well.

Yup, it IS a big issue and someday it has to be fixed, or eradicated completely... or the environment will suffer.
But we're getting off topic now... so I wont say anything more about it.
