Post on weibo claim no more xperia for China.
Rightfully so
I have the next 1 and its boringggggg (except the mobile network part, its one of the best phone in terms of RF design and network compatibility I have seen, aka fastest speed and best signal reception)
let me guess, same phone with 8g3 and ufs4.0 while rest is exactly same?
I supposed sony had learned with very bad sales of 10v because it is just 10 iv with 1 larger camera and worse larger screen

I'm gonna post those same questions again.
1. Reception will be very good throughout , meaning it must have very good cooling system. Any cooling system / new method ??
2. What's the maximum manual brightness and does it able to sustain the same brightness for long ( eg at least 30 minutes )
3. What's the ufs now? 4.0 or even better or uses previous?
4. Can it maintain great efficiency for long - ie run 20 times benchmarks (or gaming for long hours) and still get same great results similar to first time?
5. What's camera (both front and back) like? Any new modes / improvements (eg global shutter/ micro matrix
)
6. LED indicators back?
Do help reply as best if you able to , but if it affect your career, do tell us and we will just further carry on discussing and the rumors as normal.
Thank you very much !

We need to wait. Oppo denied they would stop selling in Europe because of nokia, couple weeks later they did until it was fully solved with new contract. They also denied stopping making foldables, news say N5 Flip is canceled.

I suppose the QHD 19,5:9 story is joke, right?

It could be that Zack got tipped off by someone who has seen or heard there is such prototype. I am also certain that Xperia people play with different size housing all the time and even with different screens as well, so usable test prototype devices most likely do exist. But that doesn't mean it will enter the production.
Remember when 5K display was spotted back in the day? Sure, most likely they had a working display with "true" 21:9 4K that translated to 5K because of 2160p height. But it never saw light of the day.
I dont' see them downgrading the resolution of the 1 display unless they go full on penny saving mode, so all three models have exact same garbage display like 10/5 have now.

Xperia 5 series will be discontinued in 2024.
https://sumahodigest.com/?p=28242
But it's not clear if the V or VI will be the last.

I think the 3 series will replace the 5 series.
