slightly off topic: has ne1 been caught bluejacking yet? esp if u sent them an offensive msg! just curious cos with the "vibrate after a bluejack" feature it might make it a bit obvious if u leave ur fone on the table for example...

@mannequin: Why leave your P800 on the table? You are either too rich or don't love your P800... ;-)

@ajack
SMan v1.2 request - Start menu > Exit/Quit; not that I'm not always running SMan, but P800 apps with no Exit/Quit facility *really* bug me!!
Keep up the great work!

@wallyka: Thanks for responding to that silly SPC... :) @SPC: Going through all of SMan's menu options can be rather enlightening... BTW, can I have your IMEI number? ;) Just kidding...

@ajack
Hi, with the BT access point it would be a paired device so it would just mean - I would hope - getting the two to initiate a conversation then we can do away with our PCs and use 100m range BT access points to sync mail, news, AvantGo (if it ever appears), Mobipocket, etc. You see what I'm after??
Also could we have something called BluBombing? Something to continually blast those Nokia wallies with stupidly named phones......send them say 100 contacts......send them into total confusion

I would like to try this on the person called 'Bossie' on my train that I bother once and a while

Alright...... These fews days i went around trying to blue jack people. Of no apperant reason, i can'y find anyone in the individual or scan list. Seems that everyone using Nokia has gone stealth. I dun know if its the user fault the phone or the program fault.
There is this guy using a 7650 and the 6310 bside the table i am
sitting, took out my phone do a scan. Returned with nothing.
Well maybe they off their fone or watever.
Broad subway, did a scan found no Nokia again.
Tried and tried, nothing found. At the corner of my eye, i saw
someone talking on the phone with his 7650.
Gosh.... i m really confused !!
Went home, did a search on my computer. Still cannot find my computer. Only when i did the conventional way (Connection>Bluetooth>Setting>Add) then i was able to find my computer.
What the meaning of this?

Hi all,
I know that I had earlier asked for translator volunteers for SMan to be adapted for other languages. A few have volunteered (thanks guys!) and I had been pretty quiet about it since then.
It has now been decided that we will be releasing SMan v1.2 (don't ask when, still in the works) in english only. At the time of release, we will also release the english language file (ie. an almost text file and the restrictions to the length of text for each menu item). From the day of release, volunteers have thirty (30) days (may be longer, dunno yet) to find bugs and translate SMan's menus into their native language. All bugs (should any be reported) will be fixed within those 30 days, and a version 1.2a (or b, c, d, etc...) will be released (again, english only) within those thirty days.
After that, v1.2z will be released, this should contain the native languages that were translated by volunteers for distribution. Any bugs after that will not be fixed but carried forward to v1.3. If translators do not meet the dateline for their language of choice, they will have to wait for the next version of SMan. We will not guarantee other languages support at all, only english (ie. if there was french support in v1.2z, there is no guarantee it will be supported in v1.3z). So it's up to the translators to volunteer SMan's language support.
I would like to see group efforts on the translation, maybe a "SMan v1.2 translation - Spanish" thread, etc... and be coordinated by one person who will ultimately be responsible to submit the translations to us. Please use the forum facility at my-symbian.com for this. French would be interesting... anybody know what "leg jockey" is suppose to be?
Don't forget that there is also a manual to translate as well and I would love to see how some of our dark humor gets translated.
Since I do not know when SMan v1.2 will be released, I will not accept volunteers for the translation efforts now, but this could be a good time to gather your fellow countrymen to organize such work. I will decide later how I accept a language translator lead/coordinator for each language and leave it entirely to them for the translation works later.
Cheers,
ajack
