He will need a router if he wants to keep his pc connected to the internet at the same time without having to swap cables around each time he wants to use his PS2 online. Also most Broadband ADSL modems are USB only. Maplins sell an ADSL modem/router for £50 which has a USB connector and an ethernet connector. All I've done is conected the modem to the downstairs pc via usb and then routed a 15m ethernet cable from the modem to the 8 port router in my bedroom where my other PC, PS2, X-Box and Gamecube are connected and job done.

I know that,a lot of ppl i play online with dont bother wìth a router, and some have a two ps2's,two pc's and a laptop all going at the same time. Its just the cheapest way to get online with ur ps2,and u can browße the net with ur ps2 aswell :-)

A new disk ? why would they send you a new disk ? does Hardware come on the disk ?
I went to Game today to part exchange my PS2 for a slimline PS2. They had none in stock and said wouldnt receive any for a week or two !
So, i still cannot play my PS2 games.

Im glad i didnt buy Hardware then.
Btw, when can i expect mine to arrive ?
I'll also have to reregister the built in adaptor when i get a slimline PS2.
I might go in Woolworths tomorrow and see if they have any PS2's.
