just moved to the latest firmeware and no problems at all.

its quite an undramatic move and worth doing as you get debranded as well if you take it to a service centre. They did it while I waited too

Did you back up your stuff before going or did they take care of everything

it was CRC IN Sandiacre near Nottingham, very good service on the phone they said it will take a day but ......if you arrive at 2.00 (when they finish lunch) and ask nicely they do it by 3.00

They offered to back it all up but as I already had I said no problem. I think its better to do a full backup and a calendar, contacts sync on PC. then resync the contacts and diary off pc. u lose software but if u have it on card sman fixes it. ringtones go as do smartphone settings but that doesnt take long to clear up.

pretty easy really.

I have the same problem with the camera saving to the default folder. it's quite annoying.

Just installed the latest firmware on my Orange P900 and now the phone doesn't switch to the car profile with the HCA-20 car kit?

Any thoughts?

I think us unfortunate/stupid Orange users have been lucky this time, this is the first update in Orange firmware for quite some time - I think it was Organiser version R3something or other before this one, and it had been for some time... correct me if i am wrong, but that is what i have been lumbered with

Orange users can update from the SE Website as other P900 users can, its just that we usually seem to have to wait longer for the firmware than unbraded phone users, since Orange feel the need to ratify each and every firmware before it becomes available to us...

I hope you like the new firmware, you'll probably have it for a good few months at least - in the past year (well since last november) i think there have been around 3-4 updates for orange phones, and surely many more for unbranded ones...
