my computer got hot.
so i did some spring cleaning and added 2 case fans in the process:
here's what i found when i removed the fan from the cpu cooler of one of the CPUs:
yucky grime and compacted dust that obviously reduced the head dissipitation.
and now: clean !
cool stuff !
Have you considered about watercooling? It is so low noise and effective system...I've got overclocked my AMD 1700+(real 1466Mhz) to 2400Mhz and the temperature is around35C.

lost Angle: the pc is around 3 years old. bought it in november 2001, if i remember correctly. so actually, it's still pretty good. keeps up with all those 5GHz machines currently out there. i think it would even run doomIII sufficiently. i might need to up my gfx card, though (currently asus v7700 128Mb DDR-Ram GeForce 2 GTS chip).
bredator: watercooling is expensive !
and they have some nice kits for the chieftec case i have, but i'd need to put some kind of heat-exchanger box on top of the case. i'm looking for an all-internal solution. next payday i might consider water.

I think it's cheap...This is my home made watercooling in beta 0.1 version. So you can cool a another device(GPU, Power suply etc.
It costs max. 60$.
